impact one
One of my stories that had the biggest impact on me is my new SAT story. I learned a lot about the new SAT through this story which allowed me to further my understanding of something that had a large impact on my future. It's also the biggest impact story for me because the majority of my other stories don't have that much importance or significance to them. Not that they're pointless (necessarily), but because this story was very informational and factual. This story was also the story I learned the most from. I asked questions that I didn't know the answer to. Which made this story more interesting to write than several of my other stories.
impact two
The most impactful experience throughout my second journalism year has to be the Disney trip. I tried to think of something that wasn't this but the trip keeps popping up into my brain. But it wasn't necessarily the trip that had the impact, it was the outcome of it. When we got back, a lot of things changed in the way we do things for the Newspaper. The number of editors trimmed down to just one, the different day schedules turned to just one six day schedule, and people weren't so independent anymore. I'm glad this happened however, because it definitely needed to be done. This situation allowed me to learn how to work around other people and their annoying-ness and to do my own thing. Also, to not be influenced by the actions of others.
impact three
It was really hard to think of one single person that held an impact on me this year. I honestly think the people that held the most impact on me are Meg and Taylor. Meg because she's really helpful when it comes to asking questions and basically all of the journalism things that you would need to know. I've gotten a lot of advice, and in-depth editing from her. She really helped dig deep into my stories and allowed me to make them better. Taylor also held an impact on me in this class because she too gave a lot of in-depth editing to my stories. A lot of her stories this year also made me excited about journalism. She really cared about her work and it showed through her writing.
